The Israelites were badly ill-treated in Babylon for 70 years and Prophet Isaiah often predicted about the day when the Israelites will be freed from the Babylonian dominion. At last, in 627 B.C. Kura/ Cyrus, king of Medo-Persia defeated Belsazar, king of Babylon who was the son of Nebukanezar. So Cyrus/ Kura gave freedom to all Israelites as predicted by number of prophets. (Isaiah 45:1-8, Isaiah 44:28, Ezra 1:1-30, Jer. 25:1-11, Jer. 29:10-11).

When the Israelites were freed from Babylon with the help of Cyrus/ Kura, king of Medo-Persia, many of them went to Ethiopia. (Joseph Pillow's "Bible history of Israel P. 33). So we find many Ethiopian Jews in Ethiopia even today.

In 333 B.C. during September, Alexander, king of Greek defeated Medo - Persia at Granicuse. So the Israelites became the slaves of the Greeks. General Antiochus Epiphanesa was appointed to be the Governor of Jerusalem and General Ptolemy was appointed to be the Governor of Egypt. But after the death of Alexander, in 173 B.C. General Antiochus Epiphanesa imprisoned General Ptolemy. So Egypt was annexed to his kingdom. In 168 B.C. General Antiochus made very peculiar sacrifice i.e. Pig sacrifice at Jerusalem which was the Holy City of Israel and disgraced the Holy City, The Israelites were very angry against Antiochus. In 165 B.C., under the leadership of Makabia, the Israelites revolted against the Greeks and defeated them. So Israel enjoyed freedom once again.

But after 100 years, General Pompey of Rome defeated Israel in 63 B.C. and Jerusalem was placed under the Roman rule. Heroda Anti-Peter was appointed to be the Ruler of Israel. In 20B.C. Caeser Augustus became the Emperor of Rome. Caeser Augusta ordered the first Census in history on 10th April (Nisan) 4 B.C. and the Census was to be completed by Ethani (October) in the same year. Mary, mother of Jesus and Joseph also went to Bethlehem for the Census.

Then Jesus Christ was born during the month of Ethani (October) probably 6th, at Bethlehem. (Bible History of Israel by Joseph Pillows P. 70, St. Luke 2:1-7). When the child Jesus was born Ephraim was not present. This was predicted by Prophet Hosea (Hosea 13: 13). While Jesus was in Israel, he foretold the downfall of Jerusalem and how soldiers will surround Jerusalem. (Luk. 21:20). In 68 B.C. AD, Vascapiana, one of the best Generals was sent to Jerusalem by the Roman Emperor in order to suppress the revolution in Jerusalem. So the Roman soldiers surrounded the city of Jerusalem and defeated the Israelites. What Jesus Christ predicted came true. But it was very difficult to put down the rebellion. The result was that many Israelites were sold to Russia, China, and France, etc. So we have Russian - Jews, Chinese - Jews, French - Jews etc.

During 132 - 335 A.D., Palestine who was the descendent of Essauv ruled over Israel. Palestine defeated the Romans. Again, Byzantine ruled over Israel during 395-638 A.D. from 631 A.D. to 1099 A.D. Arabs occupied Jerusalem. From 1516 A.D. the Ottoman Empire (German) ruled Israel. Theodore Hash, leader of Zionism fought bravely in 1895 for the freedom of Israels from the German dominion. During the 1st World War in 1914, the British General Alenby brought Israel under the British rule. But in 1930, Israel was again persecuted by the the Germany National Socialist (NAZI) as the Jews were regarded to be responsible for the crucification of Jesus Christ. At last in 1948, on 14th May midnight, Israel was given Independence and full Sovereignty. So the Government of Israel was born. "When I would have healed Israel then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered". Hosea 7:1

Interpreted by some as and when the Government of Israel was born and the suffering of Israel would have been healed, Ephraim committed iniquity by rejecting full independence and choose to become a part of India which happened in the same year 1948. The memorandum submitted by the Mizo Union Party, signed by 52 persons is as under :- "The Lushai Hills will be allow to opt out of the Indian Union when they wish to do so subject to a minimum period of 10 years". This letter was submitted to the Governor in Council of India. {Disclose in the Annexure).
